The promise
If any card you buy from us is not a genuine Pokémon Trading Card Game card, we refund the full purchase price and the return postage. There is no time limit on this and no restocking fee. You do not need to prove anything beyond returning the card.
What we check on a single
Every card is inspected under good light before it is listed, and again when it is picked for an order.
- Print and rosette pattern. Genuine cards use a fine rosette dot pattern. Counterfeits frequently show a coarse pattern, visible pixelation, or blurred text edges under magnification.
- Card stock and the light test. Genuine modern cards have an opaque inner layer. Held against a bright light, a counterfeit usually passes far more light through than it should.
- Edge layering. The blue-black core layer should be visible and even along a cut edge.
- Colour and font. Energy symbols, HP text and the set symbol are the usual places where a counterfeit is slightly wrong.
- Texture and foil. Textured and holographic treatments are difficult to replicate. We compare against a known-genuine reference copy of the same card.
- Back print. The blue swirl and the Poké Ball proportions are checked against a reference.
What we check on sealed product
- The factory wrap is intact, correctly seamed, and shows no sign of having been heat-resealed.
- Weight is consistent with an unsearched product of that type.
- The outer box has not been opened and re-taped.
- Loose booster packs are sourced only from sealed boxes or sealed collection products, never bought individually.
Graded cards
Where a card is professionally graded, the listing records the grading company, the numeric grade and the certification number. We do not crack, re-holder or re-submit slabs.
What we cannot promise
We can tell you the condition, the print run and the authenticity of a card. We cannot tell you what it will be worth later. Card values move, sometimes sharply, and nothing on this site should be read as investment advice.
